Nominees for Board of Directors

In accordance with Article V, Section 4 of the Club's bylaws, an independent Nominating Committee has selected a list of candidates for presentation to the general membership to fill upcoming open positions on the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee was comprised of the following members:

The membership will be asked to vote on the following slate of proposed candidates at the Annual Meeting on May 2, 2008:

•  Chaired CW Head Coach Search Committee

•  Ann Arbor Swim Club board member for 7 years; past President and board member Huron Valley Swim Club, and has worked with many public company boards

Lynn Boland

(Saline Schools)

•  1 son (age 13) in the CW program

•  Board experience at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital

•  Chairperson of the CW Hospitality Committee for the past two years

Kirk Evenson

(Hartland Schools)

2-year Term

•  1 daughter (age 12) in the CW program

•  Past President of Kensington Valley Athletic Conference

•  Participated on committee responsible for building a 400,000 sq. ft. facility with athletic amenities

•  Assisted with CW registration and Swim-A-Thon events

Robert Fisher

•  4 sons (ages 12, 14, 15 and 16) in the CW program

•  Performed fundraising and was Entry Chair and served on Meet Committee for the Ypsi Otters Swim Club

•  Assisted with CW hospitality and worked as an activity chaperone

Jeff Orringer

•  1 daughter (age 9) and 1 son (age 11) in the CW program

•  Chair of U of M Health System Laser Credentialing/Safety Committee

•  Serves on various medical committees and boards of U of M Health System

•  Worked on CW Swim-A-Thon and as swim meet safety marshal

John Wang

•  1 daughter (age 13) in the CW program

•  Board member N.A. Shandong Association, Ford Chinese Association, and homeowners association

•  Worked as CW meet official and assisted with related meet activities

(1) A prescribed under the Bylaws, Glenn's initial term as President of the Transition Board is expiring. However, if elected, he has agreed to again serve as President through, at a minimum, the remainder of 2008 in order to improve board continuity and provide for a smooth transition to a new President. The Bylaws require that to accept the role of CW President a member must have served a minimum of one year on the CW Board or one of its predecessor organizations, Ann Arbor Swim Club or Wolverine Aquatics.
