Eight CW age group swimmers attended the Junior National meet at Stanford University.  This group consisted of Anna Demonte, Hanna Cowley, Morgan Zebley, Annie Tamblyn, David Boland, Josh Ehrman, Victor Zhang and Adam Whitener.  For Hanna and Morgan it was their final meet representing CW before they move on to college.  Hanna at the University of Louisville and Morgan at George Mason.

Three swimmers made finals in this meet.  You can read about Anna Demonte's fantastic swims in a separate document on the web site.  She did great.  And David Boland made the C final of the 100 fly, finishing the final in 55.95 seconds, which was faster than his prelim time.  David's time is the 79th fastest swim for 15-16 year old boys.  This is a great accomplishment considering these records date back to 1965.  Also making a final was Josh Ehrman.  He qualifed for the B final of the 200 breast in 2:20.94.  His time was only 0.15 seconds off the Olympic Trials cut.  He was not able to improve his time in the evening.  Josh's swim was the 50th best all-time for 15-16 year old boys.

Boland's time also placed him 10th in the country in 2011 for 16 year old boys.  Josh's time placed him 6th in the country.  Josh also swam a 4:35. 34 for the 400 IM which placed him 18th in the country.  Anna Demonte's 200 back (see previous article) placed her 16th in the country for 16 year old girls.  She also placed 14th in the 200 IM.

Josh and David also had great years in IMX competition with Josh finishing 9th and David 17th nationally for 16 year old boys.
