Practice Schedule
Week of 9/7/2010 and 9/13/2010
Practice Notes:
1) We will begin the season using two pools: AA city Mack pool and UM
2) We are planning to add AA Tappan the week of 9/20/10. We may add Tappan the week of 9/13/2010 based on numbers in the Local groups. Tappan will be used for early groups in Cubs A, Cubs B and Cubs C.
3) Beginning the week of 9/20/10 most of the groups who practice at UM the first two weeks will move to EMU. This marks the beginning of fall practice for UM water polo.
4) This Fall we will be running two sites for swimmers in State 3, State 2 and State 1. The primary site for these groups will be Mack pool.
We are still trying to determine if we have need to run two sites for Cubs D. The primary site for Cubs D will be Mack Pool we are hoping to have a site at EMU/UM for siblings.
The EMU/UM site will be for swimmers in State 3, State 2 and State 1 who have siblings in State 4, State 5 or the National Groups. We will begin a waiting list for swimmers who do not have siblings at the EMU/UM site. We will wait to fill open spots until we are sure all of the siblings have been placed. We will not over enroll the groups at the EMU/UM site.
5) There has been a change in the original thinking with State 4. State 4 will practice at the EMU/UM site.
6) The EMU/UM site will be very crowded during the 10 weeks of UM fall water polo. To make sure that we meet the needs of everyone in the program we will begin assigning sites on 9/7/10; this will be done during practice time. Parents of swimmers who have children in the older age groups as well as State 3, State 2, State 1 and Cubs D and wish those swimmers to be assigned to the EMU/UM site need to complete the attached form and return it to the coaches. Forms need to be returned during the first two days of practice.
7) Parents wishing to have their children on the waiting list for the EMU/UM site will be able to place their children on the waiting list beginning 9/9/10 at practice.
8) Children will not be placed at the EMU/UM site based on car pools.
9) Bailey will be at Mack pool 9/7/10 and 9/8/10 from 4:30 to 5:00 PM if you have questions regarding this process. He will also be able to answer questions at UM following practice on those dates.
10) We planning to move a few swimmers up, from State 4 to National Green, to balance the groups.
11) One final note; next week we may find that we have too many swimmers to handle at UM. (Current registrations indicate we should be fine) If that is the case we will need to move some of the swimmers who will be at EMU during water polo early. If that is the case Kelton will take a combined group (from National Blue, Green, State 5 and State 4) a week early) they will then be separated again the third week. This will be a group made up of swimmers who do not have siblings swimming at UM. The reason for this is that financially it is cheaper to move swimmers who will be there for longer than 2 months at EMU to EMU.
